        Our Factory:

At Timba, we have machinery expressly designed for the manufacturing of percussion instruments, yet a great deal of the production is still done by hand by master drum artisans.

The founder, designer-manager, and key factory personnel have an average of over thirty years of drum industry experience.

Timba management interfaces with top international artists in an effort to gather their input on our products and advise us on possible design improvements.

One of the important aspects that we have concentrated on is to make sure Timba drums produce tonal qualities that no other drums currently have. In designing Timba drums, we analyzed the acoustic properties and discovered that oak wood produces excellent vibration qualities that enhance the variable tones. Attention to the mounting of the heads, type and guage of skins, bearing edges and crown hoops are critical to the acclaimed tonal response of Timba drums.

It is very important to note that our drums are not only constructed to reproduce the traditional sound but they also have the famous traditional Cuban appearance, in an array of finish colors that are not available from other hand percussion manufacturers.

And a very important aspect of Timba drums is that they are 100% made in the U.S.A.!
